I will be going to rewrite bunch of visual features for jQuery
(Interface) in the next time... drag and drop is almost ready, next
will be sortables -> selectables -> resizeables.

What do you mean by splitter widgets? Like a split pane view?
I have created something custom on that topic for several jQuery
projects. Other than that, I did some "real" splitting: A explode
effect on elements, that really splits the element itself.
