Source would be ideal, which will allow the user to see a specific
template once they login, dependant upon the domain they align
themselves to during sign-up.

Pay EXTRA close attention to what you are paginating. Sometimes a
big-ol-list of items page after page is the wrong fit. In the app I
am working on, for example, there is a big old list of all the
articles released in the last forever. The obvious thing to do was to
paginate them into 10 or 20 item
Important thing to remember: Forcing items into a heading they don't
fit under is worse then having no headings at all. Also, items can be
in more than one heading, really. If you have too many items to do
that, well, perhaps you have too many items? Maybe your app should be
broken into a suite of
Interesting side note, at work a few days ago a co-worker went to log
into their bank. When they went to the log in page of the fresh and
new bank site, it saw the cookie from the old site and logged him in.

We are hiring another Strategist here at Advomatic. This is a great position

some IA (for major non-profit organizations), but perhaps not yet ready for a

We've already established a relationship with one and so far so good.

Hi George,
There's a ton of training out there for the more programmatical aspects, but
not a whole lot for true UX practitioners (I'm also in Portland BTW). I

For those out there who work as freelancers or standalone UX agencies,
what does your sales process look like?
Is it primarily selling to the companies who own the web properties,
attempting to convince them of the need for better UX, or is it more
strategic partnerships with development shops?
Hi, all,
I've been through a fair number of the online video tutorials, but
nothing substitutes for hands-on training where you can ask the
questions that the tutorials assume you know the answer to. But I'm
having a hard time finding any classes or workshops for this. Are any

As I am sure you are aware, there are different levels of any of

Does the login screen need to be blank when a person is logged out
(either by choice or by system) or can there be trace information
left?
Example...

Thanks Weixi. Jeff and Nancy for your replies. We were leaning towards
going with collapsible/tree type navigation over flyouts for the
reasons that you all stated. Your replies did confirm our direction.
Thanks again!
