Responsibilities Work with the Program Management team to design simple, enjoyable and attractive user experiences for a range of new applications and components, from initial concepts through wireframes to polished designs.
Validate and refine existing application workflows and visual designs. Organise and conduct formal and informal usability studies, draw conclusions and integrate these into application designs. Work with partner User Experience teams to ensure all designs produced integrate and are consistent with related application components developed elsewhere. Work with development team to ensure any designs produced are practical and efficient to implement. Minimum Requirements Candidates must have a well organized and varied portfolio which clearly describes the candidates personal contribution to each project. Experience of user experience design for web applications, including Flash or Silverlight-based applications. Both the ability to produce innovative, novel designs from scratch and the ability to follow existing application style guides and look-and-feel are required. Strong graphic design skills; proficient with graphic design tools (e.g. PhotoShop, Expression Blend). Strong understanding of interaction design, usability and human-computer interaction. Proven record of designing user interfaces for interactive software applications. Proven record of working in a software development environment. Proactive working and appropriate ownership attitude; capable of working independently and cooperatively. A perfectionist and a pragmatist, combining close attention to detail with the ability to work to fixed schedules. Good communication skills and fluent in both written and spoken English. Additional Requirements (would be an advantage) Experience of rich Internet application (RIA) design. Competency at designing data-centric business application interfaces. Experience of conducting usability studies. Proficiency in Microsoft Expression Suite / Blend. Experience of designing user interfaces for mobile devices.
