litle to zero chance of using this approach (and it might not work for
the form, anyway), but I wonder how much of the overall *idea and
feel* I can sneak in?

I can't say whether they'll all make it past these concepts, but thus
far, in paper prototype tests, they have received some encouraging
feedback. The real test will be two weeks' time when we test them in
front of a group that is being open recruited.
