And a final update. The article about Sean Tevis was published in the
WSJ today.

Somewhat decent article - for being factually wrong. Either the
writer of the article or the editors decided to give Sean a title
change - he is no longer an Information Architect - he is
As an update - I just was contacted by the WSJ who is doing a story
about Sean Tevis, and wanted to interview folks who gave donations
ending in $0.88 after reading the source code. I plugged the IxDA
community.

Honestly, if non-US citizens were allowed to donate, I would. The verbal
Rick-roll had me laughing so hard my workmates think I'm having some
sort of fit.
I'd also cry tears of joy if someone like this ran in the UK. *Hint

no, somebody got me confused with that other Barbara Ballard again!
But happily, no. Though it really will start looking like we're taking

And we got rid of the idiot state board of education folks. Every last
Well,
That sold me. The combination of information design with comic storyboarding
to effectively tell a narrative is worth a donation from me.

I hope nobody feels obliged to discuss his policies or platform. I'm
just noting that politics appears to be a new career path option for us.

Does it matter what people in Kansas know or don't about IA? The school
board in the state redefined science so that creationism could be taught as
a legitimate alternative to natural selection. They are already swimming in
the shallow end of the gene pool.
Yes it does matter - at least to me. There is a small area of
geography that includes Lawrence (the University of Kansas) and the
western suburbs of Kansas City that lean away from that scary thought
control right. There is a yet smaller group that practice this thing
called design who are
BTW, check out his source code! Funny little thing in there. I'm tempted to
do it, just for the hell of it.

That is both funny and kewl and I think I may do it as well, just for the
solidarity aspect.
I may be coming around - they fact that he has the nutsack to say he is an
IA - and running for office - deserves a bit of respect. The fact that he
has a blog - and responds to people means he actually
