Big Fish is seeking a Web Designer to support the front-end development of existing retail web sites as well as a custom CRM application. The ideal candidate will be able to take direction from the marketing department, the management team and collaborate with Web Developers to create web and other digital media products.
Responsibilities: * Develop graphical user interfaces for web applications developed by in-house programming staff. * Create mock-ups and develop page layout and navigation for projects. * Research, customize and support integration of 3rd party software with existing systems. * In coordination with the marketing staff, documents design standards including colors, fonts, logos, photos and company brand. * Coordinate with company departments (Development, Finance, HR, IT, Sales) in the development of websites and other digital media. * Determines user's needs, strategies, and goals to develop sites/designs/products that meet those needs. * Responsible for applying CSS/XHTML, AJAX and Web 2.0 techniques to these projects. * Development of testing programs as part of quality assurance. Requirements: * Certificate or degree in Multimedia, Web Development or Computer Science. * 2+ years of web and interface design for consumer websites and applications. * Excellent written and oral communication skills. * Exceptional organizational and analytical skills. * Ability to manage long and multi-stepped projects from start to completion. * Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a complex, team oriented environment. * Proficient in hand-coded HTML, CSS, XHTML, JavaScript, Flash, Adobe Photoshop, graphic design * Knowledge of Visual Studio.NET * Proven record of exceptional attention to detail Desired: * Basic Understanding of programming concepts Employment is on-site permanent.
