Kinda expensive, but the concept is kinda sweet. Basically no work

I am looking for some interesting (or at least usable) examples of
real-time data update using Ajax. I am particularly keen on seeing good
solutions to the problem of indicating data 'freshness', especially
where different parts of a display might be updated at different times.
