1. Realizing that I wanted to be a local leader after soaking up
inspiration from Pauric, Niklas, Josh, MK, and Dani at the local leaders
dinner.
2. The Rockband debut of "The Fitts" with Meredith Nobel & Mikkel

Connecting in person with loads of people I only met in other mediums
before. Meeting with peers in the field that you as a European seldom
get a chance to do and the general feeling of being part of something
big.
The local leaders dinner was also a true feel of community force.

for the videos.) But Chris Conley's "Dramatic Features" talk

too late to register. The event was fully booked by the time I
decided to go...

To be honest:
The no.1 take-away for me from I08 was the conversations I had with
folks like Matt, Angel, Niklas & crew on their perspective, what
drives them, what makes them passionate about design in general and
IxD in particular.
It was an opportunity to not talk about UCD, ACD, elevator pitches
and what
I have many fond memories.. Rock Band, the local leaders' dinner,
drinking drinking and more drinking (thanks Pauric, beers by the
swimming pool at 2am). I am so excited for Vancouver, I wish I was
there right now :)
I'd also like to mention the great conversations I had with Pauric,
Jack Moffett
Being stuck at the Savannah airport on the way home along with Bill
Buxton and about 15 other people for 5 hours. Bill missed his flight
because he was so caught up in a story he was telling.
It was like a weird after-party -- that existential limbo when you're
