Further to Barend's post I'd like to add my support for Ian's nomination to the OSGeo Board. Ian demonstrates huge passion for and commitment to OSGeo and the wider free and open software movement. In the few years I've known him I've been impressed by his professionalism and ability to get things done which will hopefully be demonstrated in a few weeks during FOSS4G which we're all hoping will be awesome :-)
