Hello Marc and Moritz, This is not just an issue relating to Academia and Open Source. In the interests of full disclosure, there is also a proprietary interest here: - Rasdaman Gmbh [1] offers a dual licensed [2] version of Rasdaman. This has been discussed previously on the Incubation list.

For those projects that are still using the OSGeo trac, I've just enabled inter-trac links. This means you can reference tickets/wikipages/changesets of any OSGeo project using trac from any other trac instance by simply prepending the project name in the link, like: geos:changeset:2234

Peter, I did certainly not realise there was such a cultural gap between academia and open source. Also, I gather that bazar style negotiation is not to your liking not efficient. You perhaps rather have a single representative speaking/negotiating on behalf of the OSGeo Foundation?
