Dear Peter, dear Bruce, I've been silent in the previous discussions and only respond because I've been in a similar role Peter is in now. And because I feel that the situation the incubation of Rasdaman is in now is no good one for anybody. Indeed I think that there is no need at all to remain

Hello Marc and Moritz, This is not just an issue relating to Academia and Open Source. In the interests of full disclosure, there is also a proprietary interest here: - Rasdaman Gmbh [1] offers a dual licensed [2] version of Rasdaman. This has been discussed previously on the Incubation list.

Dear Rasdaman Community members, As per below, I proposed a 3 month period of time for the Rasdaman Community to reflect on the OSGeo Incubation discussion over the last two weeks and to decide how the Rasdaman Community wishes to proceed (or not) with OSGeo Incubation. Peter Bauman has

[OSGeo-Discuss] [trac service] inter-trac links enabled

For those projects that are still using the OSGeo trac, I've just enabled inter-trac links. This means you can reference tickets/wikipages/changesets of any OSGeo project using trac from any other trac instance by simply prepending the project name in the link, like: geos:changeset:2234

Peter, I did certainly not realise there was such a cultural gap between academia and open source. Also, I gather that bazar style negotiation is not to your liking not efficient. You perhaps rather have a single representative speaking/negotiating on behalf of the OSGeo Foundation?

Marc- if we just discuss on meta level we bypass the real facts. It is not about bazaar style negotiation - both sides have laid their cards open on the table, and now OSGeo needs to see what to do with it. Also, I note in passing that science is not really understood, discussion is all about
