This is a huge reminder that most of the time, people that are essential to
OSGeo are not the noisiest ones.

sooner than later :)

Dear Community,
just passed and survived the last FOSS4G in Bucharest, the community is
looking forward for the next global FOSS4G conferences. We, OSGeo's
Conference Committee, are happy to announce the call for location for the

As a user of the software Even has built and as a beneficiary of his work on
the MapServer
project - I can't think of a more deserving recipient. The energy, expertise
and patience
Even brings to the OSGeo community is really amazing. Well done and
congratulations!

Great work everyone. I want to thank everyone who helped make this excellent
resource possible.
I am also pleased to inform that the Global Open Data for Agriculture and
Nutrition (GODAN) as part of our capacity development aims will make use of
OSGeo Live for our training programs in AgriGIS
Even Rouault was honoured with the 2019 Sol Katz Award, presented on 29
August 2019, during the closing session of the FOSS4G event in
Bucharest. This was the 15th year of the award.
Even took over the title of "Mister GDAL" after Frank Warmerdam passed
him the torch. GDAL is a cornerstone of
Whoopi! Finally!
