Hi all, I have used the FIG Commission 3 meetings http://com3fig.wix.com/fig-commission3-2014 in Bologna, Italy last week to also explore ideas for joint collaborations/building training programs based on Social Tenure Domain Model (STDM) which is a pro poor land information tool. Details at http://www.stdm.gltn.net which is part of The Global Land Tool Network (GLTN) project supported by UN-Habitat using OSGeo software . As many of you know, it is based on a data model implemented using Postgres and PostGIS and a front end plugin based on QGIS.
I also presented keynote on "Open Geospatial Science and its role in Surveying Education" and i outlined the current activities we are doing at “Geo for All” . I am hoping that we can build some good ideas for joint collaborations/ training programs for the future.
