Excellent idea! It would need a little bit of content management to
avoid getting spam in these fields and getting feedback preferably
back to the source, but that might be overcome with some
brainstorming :-)

idea of standardizing responses from users about 1) uses of data and 2)

new FOSS file format. MRSID is a lossless, fractal-based, multi-scale raster
compression format. LizardTech has the algorithms to encode and decode MRSID
