I've figured out how to add a song or radio station to the favorites
list, but I don't see the option available for making a playlist a
favorite? Can anyone shed light on this question? BTW the playlists I
would like to save as a favorite and make available with one button
press are on my itunes

I too had trouble w/synchronization, and asked similar questions. It
seems that synchronization does not work well when started from the
middle of a track. Start the track from the beginning, and all works.
Hit play a few times, and synch starts to... synch.

While xmms may be able to play it, I've never heard of ID3 being valid
on an Ogg file, so I wouldn't be surprised if lots of apps had trouble
playing it. My advice is to convert the ID3 to real Vorbis tags.

if you use the save playlist plugin, it writes directly to disk. Thus, until

I got my new SB2 a few days ago and installed the current slimserver.
Everything works fine, including ogg playback of straight ogg
recordings.
Ogg playback fails with "cannot open file" when I try to playback an ogg
file with id3 tags. Granted, the UNIX 'file' command shows it as

You will probably want to raise a new one in bugzilla so the issue
doesn't get lost. I'm seeing the same sort of behavior with Firefox as

Now that bug 775 is pushed to FUTURE, I would like to have
slimserver ignore my FLAC files, as having all albums come
up with every track doubled is quite annoying.
I thought that I did this by commenting out all lines in
'convert.conf' that mentioned 'flc', but having done that,

I notice the web server chugging if I have any of my devices using HUGE
playlists (like all songs / random for example). If I have all devices
using small playlists (like ONE album for example), the web server is
super-fast in all cases.

AFAIK, pipe-lining and keep-alives are part of the HTTP 1.1 spec.
If the Web server within Slimserver is reporting that it is a 1.1
capable server then it should support pipe-lining and keep-alives.
If the Web-server does not support these features, then it should reply
in it's headers that it is
