your firewall and see what happens. If you get SlimServer and your SB
to work properly then you reactivate each of the disabled programs and
see which one is the culprit.

I think we are talking about two different things:
1. A good user interface design and user friendly
But Apple still have to make and publish on-line 'how-to' videos for
itunes/ipod, so there must be noobs who don't find it easy.
Apple's 'we know best' attitude is why itunes automagically alters tags
and moves files around. Not what I want!

the desktop that has SS running on it. Still does the same thing. Any

Is the server still running or has it crashed? Can you open

SS is still running, all I have to do is a manual refresh of IE and it
comes right back.
I'll let it play with just that frame open and see what happens.

and had no lockups. I went back to the normal SS interface in the
browser and it is acting just as before??? Confusing...

Not an important feature for me. When I sync my SBs it's usually
because I want background music all over the house, and a small gap
isn't so critical for background music.

I have a rather bazaar scenario with my SB setup.
I have for some time been enjoying about 10 or so 24bit/48Khz FLAC
encoded albums(decoded on the SB) without issue. These are stored with
FLAC 5 Compression(default).
The SB has not ever stuttered or had trouble with these same exact
