There are two replay gain tags added when you use Foobar2K to analyze by
album - track gain and album gain. Track gain is useful when you are
playing a random mix of tracks, while Album Gain is keeps the volumes of
all the tracks in an album at the same relative gain to each other as

Yes. In the settings of squeezecenter you can select which remotes work

I'd recommend you contact Logitech support. Remember, this forum isn't
an official support channel. There could be a more fundamental fault
with your SB3.

If that doesn't work for you, you could give 7.2.1 a spin. I found that

I have also had issues (different than yours) with 7.3.3. I agree with
the 7.2.1 recommendation.

OK,
An update, this morning my Linksys (DSL/wireless/router) died on me.
It would no longer connect DSL, DHCP went dead and I could no longer
access it via web browser. The switching still seemed to work, so it
seems that the Linksys was close to the end.

I've had similar problems with all later released versions, I reverted
back to 7.2.1 because of this and that worked great for the last 6
months or more, currently I'm running a beta 7.4 which also seems fine.
If you can't live with it then you could always give 7.2.1 a try.

After picking up my SB2 from the floor once again (a daily occurrence as
our little one likes to pull the cables and drag it off the bedside

In almost all respects it works, connecting to SC, acting as a bridge

since this problem seems to be particular to my system, can you tell me
what the logging options are that I can use to debug this?
The exact behavior is that squeezecenter appears to play the song for

I just installed 0.95 on an IPAQ, using it to control an SBR. Overall, a
very polished UI and app. The only thing that seems missing is access to
the Dynamic Playlists plugin running on Squeezecenter. I use SQL

New version working fine, thanks again.
If you have the time, please consider including flac lossless encoding
as an option in a future version. As the music has already been lossy
compressed once, a second time should be avoided imho.

Hi
I had the same problem with one mp3 song in an album some time back. I
never found the cause of the problem, but after deleting the ID3v2.3
tags and re-writeing them again, I have never had any problems with the
song again.
Maybe some corrupt ID3 tag was the problem

I would be curious what the plugin 'says' when selected in SControl.
If it is even listed in SControl (which it should)
Stay tuned for v0.96 with cover artwork and a local cache to speed up

Not sure what you mean by what it says. The Dynamic Playlist plugin
shows up under Music Library, with the title Dynamic Playlists. It's
one of the Erland's plugins.
Also, I just saw the cover flow by Artist. Very cool effect.
Can't wait for 0.96!

No need to apologize. Is SControl the same as SlimControl? If it is, I
don't see any plugins listed in any of the screens.

Does anyone think that Sean's leaving from Slim had anything to do with

I fear that there was a difference in his vision and Logitech's, which
caused him to move on.
Of course, this is baseless speculation fueled by paranoia on my part.

No one who is sane. When a small company is sold to a big one, the
founders usually stay on for a year or two to make the transition work.
Then they leave. Its normal.
Michael Dell even

He's back. He left, they brought in some professional managers. He
probably always was Chairman, but that is often not an active management
role.
I really want to use slimcd since the whole thing runs on RAM, but it is
the old slimserver version of SC. Will it work fine? Will I lose
features?
Or can I beg for SC 7.3.3 on a nice slim install like that?
