Thanks Frank, nice update. The only issue I've found, so far, is that
the Album Art for albums that have extended characters in their path are
not picked up when using the folder structure option. Selecting the
option to get the Album Art from the server bypasses the problem.

That's absurd - practically everything uses MOVs, includ

Only heard of Vortexbox a few weeks ago, and and now thinking of getting
the new VB 1.0
Some (probably obvious) questions though -
I am planning to use this as a NAS - i.e. I do not have a 'spare'
computer hanging around as has been mentioned in other forums re VBOX.
So is this device a stand

I think (not completely sure) that I am having a problem with multiple
cygwin1.dll on my Windows 7 install.
I always have a full copy of Cygwin on any windows machine that I use.
I am a Unix/Linux/BSD developer at heart, so I cannot tolerate living
with the DOS shell. No way.

Happy Christmas to all. I got it working finally by switching off the
airport (internal wifi connection in the mac mini). That seemed to allow
the ethernet to work properly so that the SB could see the server on the
mac mini. It isn't ideal, as I now can't use iPeng to control the mac
mini, so I w

Turn your computer with server first, wait few minutes for server fully
initialize and then switch your SB on.
Did you try reset SB ?
