Hi,
Dont quite know where the problem is located, but if I look at an Apple
lossless file - either from the Duet controller or the web-application -
it is reported with wrong bitrate. For example I see 177kbps but looking
at the file from dbpoweramp it is really 900kbps.
Why is that? Is that an

Some internal changes required this feature to be rewritten. What's

I believe the OP meant the jive-based Squeezeplay which is currently
not available AFAIKS. I think there are some build-problems - see the

It also does not have native flac.
It requires server side transcoding for a lot of formats. Which sends
full PCM data over the link. The SB1 also has a much smaller buffe

What type of shutdown problems? I run ASIO through an E-mu 1212m with
no problem on shutting down. It is not running as a service as it did
not play any sound when set up that way(?)

SB1 does not do native ogg vorbis. Check your player settings->audio to
make sure lame is correctly installed.
I think you can get some more detail in your log about the conversion
by
going to advanced->logging and setting player.source to 'debug'

You could use the Dynamic Playlist plugin to skip tracks over 7 minutes
long, that should do it.
Personally I always split the tracks into 2 and cut out the silence.

I'm pretty sure the SB1 does not have native Ogg support. Your best
option is probably to transcode your FLAC to MP3 for that player.

You've exactly described MusicIP.
Maybe find someone to set it up for you?
Also - based on comments, setup's gotten easier (since 7.2 or so?). So,
even though it used to be a "really hard - nerds only" kind of thing, it
may now be loads better.

SqueezeCenter (or SqueezeBoxServer now) can't modify your music.

Squeezebox Server/Center can't help you with this, it is best done at
the point of ripping/encoding the disc. Some rippers will cut out large
chunks of silence for you.
I tend to just leave them in, so I can listen to the album as intended.

I find no Mac version under nightly 7.4 builds.
Do I have to compile it myself, or is available as a standalone?
