What happened to the stories of the VFDs no longer being manufactured?
How do you continue to manufacture the Boom without the VFD?

It's not the same size of vfd.
Transporter uses 2 of the same size as SB2/3 .
VFD's are used by other products so the display type is still made.
It's only speculation but maybe that exact model that fists inside SB3
and tranporter is EOL.

I just returned 2 squeeze box booms to Best Buy 3 days ago and returning

So you're going to solve this problem by starting yet another unofficial
source of information? With all due respect, IMO that's the last thing
we need.
Quite the opposite, I plan on gathering official information and
placing it in one place.

The issue is not Radio is unable to play AAC streams - it can play HTTP
AAC streams such as those from SomaFM.
The problem is with station which have decided to use Flash players
which have the audio stream embedded in Flash. These streams (the
format can be AAC or MP3) cannot be played without
Hi,
I love my Squeezeboxes, largely because of the system's flexibility,
but one thing I've never understood is why the duration of alarms is
restricted to only 90 minutes. The only way I've found to set a longer
duration (since a recent update fixed a way you could get around this

KFI appears to only have an AACplus stream, so will work on Radio/Touch
but does require SBS for older players.

I'm unable to locate recent stations in the squeezebox menu. How to
access those? Basically I'm looking for some of the options available
from the http://www.last.fm/listen page. It seems like it should be

This is weird - I know there's a few Oregonians here that listen to
OPB.org's (NPR) station. I have 2 squeezeboxes - an SB2, and a Touch -
synced. Using the latest 7.5.1 nightly, and latest 7.5.1 on the Touch.
The link is this:

I do not understand this. Now all of a sudden I managed to get DSBridge
