I don't have a solution, but a simlar thing happened to me and I'm not
quite sure why.

I also use Acronis and it's capable of doing file backups as well as
image backups, you just need to select the option to backup individual
files and folders. However, image backups can also be restored to new
disks in the event of a disk failure (something I've had to do in the

I use DeltaCopy (uses rsync) to backup files from my Windows box to my
Solaris box connected to my Unslung Linksys NSLU2 (Slug). I use rsync
+ ssh on the Solaris box to make off-site backups to a Slug at my
parent's house.

Yes you have a second copy but only if one of the two drives die. If
both drives die because they are in the same box, you have nothing.

I've got the original sqeezebox from Slim devices. It's been working
perfectly until recently when it no longer will return from standby. I
suspect it due to the newest firmware update.
Where do I post support questions for the good old squeezebox?
I only find headings for the never
Have you tried removing the power from it, wait a few moments then plug
it back in? Worked for my SB2 that froze mid-song.

If I was in your position I'd use something like Nero BackITup4
Essentials which comes free with Verbatim drives. I paid £123 for a 2Tb
one. You might want to consider a Windows Home Server which will host
your music, make backing up of ALL your stations and do a lot more
besides.
