I also use Acronis and it's capable of doing file backups as well as image backups, you just need to select the option to backup individual files and folders. However, image backups can also be restored to new disks in the event of a disk failure (something I've had to do in the past as Acronis

If I was in your position I'd use something like Nero BackITup4 Essentials which comes free with Verbatim drives. I paid £123 for a 2Tb one. You might want to consider a Windows Home Server which will host your music, make backing up of ALL your stations and do a lot more besides. -- spile
