It's not in an obvious place.
Go to Settings, Advanced. There's a pop-up menu leading you to various
advanced settings, one of which is Software Updates. You can turn off
the updates once you are in that section.

I will try to use the third party set up utility.

Sorry but the answer is No. But don't give up hope just yet as there is
a script one can use to do the first time setup for the Receiver. A
quick search of the Forum will provide the details.
But it is really easier if you can borrow a Controller from somebody.
Know a friend with a Duet?

No, the Radio cannot setup a SB Receiver. It can control it once it is
setup.
There are two ways to setup a SB Receiver, the SB Controller or the
third party (officially not supported) NET:UDAP setup utility.

Hi,
I'm very interested in buying a squeezebox system.

Thanks for the reply, Andy.
With a mediumfast (2,+GHZ), double-core desktop server, 4 gig RAM,

Is there any specific settings I have to apply?
My Touch will be delivered tonight, and I'm pretty excited about this.

Cool. My linux server should handle it very well then. It already
downconverts 96/24 to the other SBs without a hitch.

This will work only if you run an external SBS that has the horsepower
to downsample.

That's a good question and I'd like to know for when I buy a touch to
compliment my Classic and Boom.
I'm hoping the touch will be handed the original 96/24 whilst sox
converts to 48/24 for the other SBs and they all stay in sync.

reasons for this is that I want to play hirez-files.

it. I have copied the settings across from my old pc, but I can't get

Is it possible to save Favourites on a per player basis rather than
having them shared by all players?
If not then it would be a good option to add - I bought my daughter a
squeezebox radio for her birthday and now I find that my carefully
selected favourites have been polluted :)

Does the receiver show a blue light? Try giving it a fixed IP instead of
