I don't use MySB.com, but AFAIU your question is related to bugs '14890'
(http://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=14890) and '14459'

Actually it sounds closer to 'Bug 2431'
(http://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2431) to me.

Numpty question here...
I'm trying to install squeezeslave on XP, I've downloaded
squeezeslave-1.0-210-win.zip, extracted the files, and executed
squeezeslave.exe, which briefly throws up a DOS box, and that's about
it.
Any pre requisites for installation?
Cheers...

It really does work nicely. I manage these station favorites on SBS
then do the OPML upload to my online file share service.
But an FYI to others using this concept, there are some catches.
Issues using SBS to manage these:
1. SBS should have a separate MySB (or internet radio) OPML folder

#4 #5 seem to be an artifact of the particular file sharing service
you're using. I don't think changing URLs would be an issue with
ordinary web server space.

correct, and to folks reading this, do double check what you get with
your internet service. I had no idea

The device you're trying to open does not support 44.1Khz sampling
rate.
Is it listed in ./squeezeslave -L
Also, I assume by server url you mean IP address or hostname as using
a url will cause squeezeslave to fail.
Hello to all, i am new here...

You need to open a command window first as you must specify the hostname
of your sbs server if it's not running on the same machine.
See squeezeslave -h for all available command line options or the wiki.
Cheers mate I'll check it out...

Hi Chaps,
I know this has been asked before but i am struggling to know what I
should download.. I have a PC in my office which is hosting the
squeezebox server software but it would be also useful if it could be a
squeezebox client. I have seen stuff about squeezeslave, softsqueeze and
Any one of those three (squeezeslave, softsqueeze and squeezeplay) will
do what you are looking for. I recommend Squeezeplay, which is
available here: http://downloads.slimdevices.com/nightly/?ver=7.6
Note that these software players usually do not sync as well as the
hardware players. There
What are the main differences between these two?
In general, I would like to see some better search capabilities than
these in Squeezebox (like searching by sample size, e.g. 24bit or
16bit)
I need also album art view similar to Theater View in J.River, or
iTunes..
At the moment, the interface

Oops, yes.
Well thanks for the response,
If you search this forum you will get plenty of information about both.
And a lot of comparisons have been made already here (and often come to
the conclusion, that in the end only your own taste decides).
This mixed with the available pictures, homepages, App descriptions or
YouTube videos

There are no differences in search categories, iPeng has an optional
search function that shows all hits in the local
I'm using MyDataNest.com
Recommendations for any simple to understand file sharing service that
maintains the same URL for updated (replaced) OPML files are great
appreciated. :)

This may sound like a dumnb question, but I cant remember what I did to
get all my local FM radio stations to show up in my favorites. This is
GREAT! However, it would be nice to know what I did specifically to get
those added in case a friend would like to do the same thing on his
setup.
