Hi dementik,
what is the use-case for that? Isn't removing headphone intentional? I
guess I would be pretty confused if music then just stopped (and would

It's always on, there is no option for that. Although I think it should
be an option (default on).

I'm looking to add wi-fi radio to my backyard system. I have wired
speakers and a receiver out there. I like the idea of having the same
music play inside and outside or even two different things playing all
controlled by my iPad.
I'm wondering if it is better to spend less money on a
The Radio doesn't really have a line out. It has a headphone out, which
is close, but not really the same thing. The Radio is a good all-in-one
device, but I would recommend the Touch instead of the Radio for anyone
looking to connect to a receiver/amp and speakers.

The problem with 7.3 from my perspective is how much code I still have
to maintain specifically for it.
From an Squeezeplay-API point of view, 7.3 was a horrid mess, it never
worked as the documentation said and was generally pretty
inconsistent.
This has much improved since (well, after 7.4
Thanks for the info. I guess I was looking for a way to not spend $300
for something I'll leave in the yard. Thanks again.

Neither the Radio nor the Touch are all-weather devices, so I assumed
that you had some protection from the elements. I wouldn't leave either
out in the yard, but then I wouldn't leave a receiver or amp out in
the yard either. I do have a pair of speakers that I leave outside
because they are
The receiver stays in a cabinet in an outdoor kitchen setup. It is
totally covered and protected (maybe not from humidity). I could
always just bring the Touch in the house when not in use but I'd like
to not have to plug and unplug all the time. I have the receiver and
TV out there in the
I would expect that the Radio or Touch would do at least as well in the
elements as the receiver and TV. As an alternative, is there a good way
to keep the Touch and the receiver inside and just run the speaker
cables outside to the speakers? That's what I've done with the system
for my outdoor
It is possibly to wire everything through the basement and then out back
but it isn't very easy and there is no good place to keep the components
in the basement. I have to deal with it this way for now.

I understand how that can be a problem. I got lucky with my setup,
taking advantage of the opening in the foundation for the central AC to
run the speaker cables into the basement

figure out how much I like it and if I want any more before they
all disappear!

All of a sudden, after working perfectly for months, my SqueezePad has
developed an annoying habit: every 15-30 seconds or so, it flashes the
yellow Connecting to Squeezebox Server yellow screen (for a split
second, so it's actually impossible to read the message).
The music is unaffected. No
