I have SqueezePlayer and SqueezeCommander installed on a Viewsonic
GTablet (running TnT Lite 4.4 / Android 2.2).
I'm having an odd problem with the interplay between volume settings in
Android and SP.
If I set the volume at the level I want (near the top - inefficient
headphones), I can start SP
OK, so I *think* I know what was happening in my case. I'm not
absolutely certain on the following, maybe Michael can confirm?
When you first run the app it asks for login and username for
mysqueezebox.com. This is fine and easily keyed-in. My problem (and the
problem of others) was that the app

SqueezePad sends an UDP broadcast to port 3483.
Maybe this tools thinks this is odd on that
I know that I can connect and listen to SiriusXM at work through their
website and web page, and I can also listen to my home server with
Winamp through port 8000 on a computer at work, so nothing is blocking
these on the network. When I try to listen with my Squeezebox, it

Just bought the playback on iPad. Great!
I did have some firewall issues again. I've now got to the bottom of
those, and think I should mention what happened in case it helps others

Easy when you know how.
But since I only have one physical player, I had no reason to tap there
until you told me.
Having it in the settings screen will be much more obvious and logical.

Hi Danko,
the button is in the list of players (tap the current player in the top
left). You need to be connected against the local server for it to be
visible.
Next version will have the button on the settings screen as well.

Did you know: *'SqueezePlayer' (www.squeezeplayer.
Just got an iPad, bought SqueezePad.
I can't even see a button or menu item for iPad playback.
Am I just missing something or is something wrong? In-app purchasing is
on (and anyway the restrictions are off).
I did have one bit of trouble, but that was a firewall issue, which I
ultimately solve

- MediaMonkey
- Foobar2000
- Winamp

You don't need to rerip anything, that is the main benefit of lossless
files.
Go and buy a copy of http://www.dbpoweramp.com/
That will make transcoding the Apple lossless files to FLAC for you.
And it is also the best Windows ripper for ripping future CDs.
