Can anyone explain what the advantages are of running squeezeslave as a

Just finished this - and the ethernet port is now the default -- I also
set the ip address to static, and other settings, including
lan_ip_mode
Alot easier than I thought... not a Perl programmer by any stretch..but
easy enough instructions to follow..

I have a number of squeezebox booms in my house that are used in the
bedrooms as alarms. I love them, but I have an annoyance that I am
hoping can be overcome with some expert advise.
An alarm is set to play a certain playlist and every morning it starts
