Unable to start service squeezesvc.
If I remote in and attempt to start manually it starts and then stops
immediately. I've never had problems installing any other SqueezeBox
add-ins until now.

For what it's worth, installing LMS 7.7 on a Linux Fedora Core 12 box
went smoothly with no apparent problems. This was an update to 7.6.2.
Haven't tried everything, but the scan ran quickly (about the same as
7.6 which was much faster than 7.5 and prior), found the whole library

So, how long does it take to build an iTunes library?
The thing supports different libraries. If we are to believe it
the iC product can merge all your stuff. This is
not that hard.
In windows (does not deserve being capitalized) hold shift and start
iT.
Make a new one. You can change back by

I upgraded to Logitech Media Server v 7.7.0 last night. I installed the
version from http://www.mysqueezebox.com/download.
It all worked fine. Software loaded ok and was working ok. I was able
to play music via my Transporter. No problems.
This evening the software will not load load.

Where can I find basic "how to" instructions to send music directly

It depends.

Pippen, as part of your redesign, please consider the option to allow
the YEAR tag to be displayed next to the album name - in album lists as

I would try disabling AIFF streaming of FLAC (something tells me a
Microsoft device may not like that). This was newly added to 7.7.0 and
it takes precedence over PCM streaming.

could be seen by clients. However, it isn't - I have turned off the

Has anyon
Playstation Media Server (PMS) will transcode FLAC on the fly but you
will have to run it alongside LMS.

It looks like it's just a Korean systems builder of some sort. I
wouldn't consider it an alternative to Squeezebox products.

If you want to update (if everything is running fine now you may want to
wait) just uninstall your SBS keeping all settings & prefs when asked.
Then just download the complete install pkg from MySqueezeBox.com > My

I'm pretty sure if no MySB then no Pandora. Your Pandora login info is
inside your App on MySB.
If your SBS cannot communicate with MySB I don't think anything in My

You do not have a WLAN at all?
In this case, you can control your players with SqueezeCommander via 3G
internet.
If you have a local SqueezeBoxServer, you need to open port 9000 TCP in
your router and add the server manually in SqueezeCommander. (Don't
forget to set a password!)

I'm a newbie with a brand new Android phone.
I do own a squeezebox but I do actually use it on a LAN (not WI-FI).
Does the squeezecommander use the WLAN to control the SB?
May I use it without a WLAN?
