As a 'everyday' user I haven't really found LMS to be that drastically
bad (compared with 7.6 which was awful).
I suspect that there are two levels of users, those who basically just
want a reliable internet radio/services device with added media
functions, and those who want it to be a high-end
I have to say that LMS or Squeezebox Server in its database roll leaves
a lot to be be desired. That is where Logitech can make huge
improvements in the Squeezebox brand. It's an audio delivery system and
diverting resources to making it a multimedia server has made it a jack

I often see posts stating that the SB is not for the 'non-tech' crowd
and/or you can't sell and instal them for non-tech consumers. Well, I do
install them for non-tech customers and they have virtually no problems and
love the devices. It's true they get a professional installation with a

The latest Alpha release is available for testing on the MonkeySqueeze

FWIW, on my install of LMS 7.7.0 (Win XP) all screensavers have the
"Date and Time" option. If this is a holdover from an earlier server

Hi,
So I have completely wiped the WMP-12 library cache on my client, and
indeed it now downloads the new library being served by Whitebear.
However, now I have a strange thing: I have about 500 tracks which
seems to have various HTML markup commands as titles instead of what
should be there. I'
Im still using version 7.54 and I still have the clock, which I like, so
I guess I am not upgrading.

Shut down and exit from tray icon.
Restart the program as a program with admin rights. Then set the
options from control panel.
Try that.

This server (7.7.0 r33614) seems to be working fine, but I have one
problem with the "start up" options.
I can not save the option of having the server run automatically at
start up. The control panel allows me to select that, but the software
is not saving that option. I have to manually start
