hi
I have done some more testing. and it dosnt make any differency which
version of sb server I use.
the coax output is still crackling.
The strange thing is the analog and optical outputs are working fine.
so it looks like a problem with just the coax output.
Im wondering if I get the unit

Hi TheDrizzle,
does it work, if you sync SqueezePlayer only to one Squeezebox?
Or if you play local mp3 or FLAC from your own library?
Unfortunately synchronization on Android devices is a hit or miss. I

What's the buffer size your playback App uses?
I'm seeing similar issues in iPeng on my server (when syncing Spotify
playback), James could not reproduce it on his.
we believe it has to do with the server side transcoding: when the
buffer sizes are too different, the server has to transcode two

SqueezePlayer tries to load 1MB of data ahead (then decodes into a
1,7MB buffer).
Just had a look into the original SqueezePlay: streambuf.c has a line
#define STREAMBUF_SIZE (3 * 1024 * 1024)
which would be 3MB download
i had a serious look at the Linn streaming solution before i purchased

the major drawback for me was that their DS streamers are ETHERNET

they originally also had no user access to internet radio...
i'm still happy with my Transporter amd
Would be interesting to know whether it also uses that when syncing. I
don't believe SB3 (which I tested against) uses 3MB and sync between
SB3 and Radio was perfect.
We were also using a 1MB buffer when I experienced the issues but I
believe that was decoded buffer size (but have to check/ask).
