I've just been looking at Western Digital web site and see that they
have a product called My Cloud which is esentially a 4Tb HDD which you
connect via your router. I was wondering if anybody has been using this
for storing their Music for playing on their SqueezeBox?
As it appears to connect

What version of LMS are you using, 7.8 by any chance?
I think the 4 option menu you describe is the one you get when the
defeat destructive play option is enabled, this only happens if already
playing something. The longer menu is the normal one you get with that
Working fine here US east. Tried rebooting player? If still no go then

It seems that this rebuffering issue only occurs when my audio system is
in synch with the SBBoom(touch to system in synch with Boom). This is a
problem because the SBBoom provides a connection with a subwoofer which
adds the deep bass to the SQ. I understand that the Touch and the Boom

Thanks for chiming in Garym. I think you might have a point about the
Boom having low strength and pulling the synch down. The Boom is some
distance from the basement-located router.
I am not sure how to add a second WIFI AP. Would this affect the SQ?
Or wouldn't a more powerful router accomplish
As I say I honestly don't believe the 4 option menu is generated by
Orange Squeeze itself it's the defeat destructive play option in LMS
7.8.
I can get both versions depending on the contents of the now playing
play list but it is incredibly inconsistent and seemingly easily
confused.

In my opinion a house full of internet or network connected devices
really cries out for ethernet connections for anything that doesn't move
(for me that is everything other than laptops and iThings and Radios
with batterys that sometimes move to the deck). When we restored our
(new) old house,

I'll try what you suggest. The only reason i would like the 4 options
even if nothing is playing is to have the option of playing all tracks.
In LMS I select the setting to play only single tracks to make it easier
to build playlists.

Thank you. It'll take me some time to digest and understand these
solutions. I think this may be something that I need to have a
professional technician set up.

The ethernet over powerline was literally, take out of box, plug into

Hmm if i just select the default option in Orange Squeeze to play that
is exactly what happens. Every time i select a new track the playlist is
replaced by the new track with no option menu appearing. How do i set
LMS to ask every time? I can't remember seeing that

Ok thank you again. I will expire that option by going to Best Buy and
get some info and products.
I'm currently copying all the files over to the new enclosure. I have
about 2 TB more to go. I've been copying files for about 48 hours now.
I got two 3 TB Red drives on sale, and I already had 4 other drives
lying around. That will give me plenty of room to grow.

Does Windows 7 do incremental backup?
Suggestions?

Thanks for the thorough reply, very informative and I'm sure there's
lots of people out there still running Squeezeboxes but are unaware of
what will happen when Logitech turn things off.

It's community based in the perspective that Logitech management has
very small interests in what gets included.
It's developed by Logitech based on the perspective that the person
