I've developed a plugin that let you utilise a upnp/dlna player as if it
is a normal LMS device. You can find it on github, LMS to uPNP. Hope it
can be useful

I've recently been trying these services (aided by ickstream - many
thanks Pippin co.).
They both cost £19.99 per month (UK), and both stream 'CD quality'
16bit/44.1kHz as FLAC.
But, Qobuz also allows downloading to buy HD albums at 24bit, seems to
have more new albums, and a larger

Tidal/Wimp HiFi has better apps, better search and sorting and a far
more complete catalogue.
However, they still have gaps in their FLAC catalogue (files that were
forgotten when they upgraded from

TIA.
My experience is quite diferrent from the previous response, but that's
what you get when you ask for opinions :).
It is quite possible that this depends on the music type you are after.

Hi
I use the RSS News Ticker when my Classic is in standby.
I have set to 3 items per channel, but the 3 items displayed aren't
always the latest items. Seems a bit random. If the RSS feed has 10
items in it, then I want the latest 3 to display. Is there a way to fix
this?
Thanks

That's surprising. I listen, almost exclusively, to classical music, and
had trouble finding stuff, in part dur to the search engine, in part due
to the catalogue. Interesting... ;)
I'm not overly happy with the Wimp Android App either though. Ease of
use, catalogue and so on, it's hard

The Qobuz Plugin mherger wrote for LMS has the Filter option, to try
and make sense of Qobuz' weird search results... ;)
The search is also something that is often lamented in official reviews
of Qobuz and also frequently requested on the Qobuz help and ideas
board... ;)
But they do have the

The good news is I was able to set up my SB, however it would be great
to have this runnable in windows.
It runs fine in Windows, but you need to install Perl first. The
community edition is free of charge -- see

Make sure your player is connected to your new server, and you're
dealing with the player you think you are.

I only have one Squeezebox and one server, so they're definitely the
ones I think. The LMS has one device listed in the drop-down Choose
player list in the top-right.
I checked the LMS log and there's no error messages, other than a bunch
of ones about Artwork resize for
It is slightly as if I wasn't changing the settings for the right
device, but I don't see how it could be anything other than the one I
expect. As I say, when I select on the LMS to play music it does play
correctly on the device, just not with the correct 'Now playing'
information.
