I cannot play RadioIO as it plays for some seconds then stops. Seems a
server issue on their end as other non-RadioIO stations play fine. Time
to jettison RadioIO?

It's worth paying for OrangeSqueeze as an Android controller. And if you
want to play songs from LMS on your phone, buy Squeezeplayer. The two of
them work well together.

I have new phone too and the same problem. Tried to use another app. The
problem still exists. Can it be because of the phone? My sister has the
same, she's bought online at goodguyselectronics, but everything is ok.

Yes, you can use both.
It's an open beta so anybody with a Squeezebox can use it.
It works through a server-side plugin so you can't use it without the
server running, right now.
