On that topic, I want to thank Logitech for continuing their support for
the backends. I think they have gone way beyond what is required. I
know we all hated when they discontinued the Squeezebox line. But I'm
amazed online services are still provided.

When they eventually get creative, just delete the running machine and
put in the backup copy.

I think I have read that Michael has already added this feature to LMS
7.9, setup specifically for his kids.
I am fairly sure he has mentioned this many times when this topic pops
up.
This means there is no need for multiple instances of LMS or duplicate
hardware.
So hopefully,
I should add: i would no longer run LMS on a NAS unless it's a really
powerful one but only use the NAS as data storage.
That way using two Pis should be simple and they really don't consume
that much power

First post here - I'm new to the Squeezebox, having just picked up a
Duet 2nd hand a week or so ago. Loving it so far. I'm not sure if this
is a strange request - but from my limited playing so far, it seems to

That is not my experience with Muso. And I use it all the time. My Music
folder structure is updated real time and when I di a pratial or full
scan with Muso, it always picks up the last modifications. I never have
to delete the whole DB.

The problem I have with Muso is that although the developer continus to
add bits and pieces to it, he has never addressed the problem of
updating the database via your LMS library. If you make any changes to
tags,album art or delete albums a re scan doesn't pick it up. You are

If so your max2play is exposed on port 22 as well as LMS ports.
