In theory, a transcoding plugin could do something like this - and I
think I saw one being discussed earlier in the year (although I think it
was doing room equalisation perhaps).
Someone else might remember or have some other trick.

In that case you would probably have to do the equalisation in the RPi
itself - possibly using alsaeq
