modem log after receiving a call so we can confirm that the modem is
properly interpreting the caller ID strings?

It seems like the caller ID string is correct, if your other caller ID
programs are working correctly. You can confirm this by viewing your
modem log.
Also, have you updated your registry according to the YAC instructions?

3- When you started YAC, did a screen appear allowing you to select
your modem?
4- Did you disable your antivirus software and your talking caller ID
program before trying YAC?

Where would I find the cache folder? I'm running 7.0 on Vista Home
Basic.
I searched my C: drive and found neither a cache folder or a fonts.bin
file.

Along these lines, would it be possible to increase the maximum
displayable brightness of the sb3, perhaps via a firmware upgrade or
removal of a light filter? The current maximum brightness level is
appreciably dimmer than the sbG's and SliMP3's maximum brightness
levels.
