installed, I now
have both a scanner.exe and a scanner.pl and the library scan did
work.

it, but you do have windows, The latest version, and
there is a scanner.exe in the same directory as the scanner.pl ?
I thought most of slim was done with perl script like scanner.pl ?

The file is present at that location. size is 7987 bytes.

A precision, if I browse the music folder in slimserver, then the files
gets added to the collection. Not sure if that helps.

My windows firewall is disabled.
There is NOT a windows executable. Should there be a scanner.exe ?
There is only a scanner.pl in the server directoty.
