g] I also introduced the pair to a Sonos and got a pic side by side. It is interesting that the Touch is the smallest controller but has the largest screen! [image: http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y295/darrenmayne/duet%20v%20touch/sonossbtouchsmall.jpg] -More to follow...- -- dar

[slim] Using a Squeezebox Duet without a network.

If you just wanted to pop to a friends and demo use of the Duet remote, could you simply wire the Duet receiver or any Squeezebox into a laptop to access the files? -- darrenwm darrenwm's Profile:

Thanks. What will happen? Error message? No sound? Popping? Or will it downconvert it and play? Darren -- darrenwm darrenwm's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17490 View this thread:

Chaps, I have a 24bit sample file - details below. Will the Duet even play it? At the moment it runs fine in iTunes via Airport Express when converted to WAV. [image: http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y295/darrenmayne/24bitinfoLarge.jpg] Thanks -- darrenwm

I stopped at PC World but they only had a Classic. I will call Sevenoaks in a bit and have one ordered in hopefully, as I just remembered that they stock Harmony remotes, thus have an account with Logitech. I think I prefer Sonos overall, but the Duet is cheaper. -- darrenwm

Oh where is a dealer list? I found a page that shows Worldwide resellers but nothing specific. I called Logitech and they didn't really have any ideas. PC World website didn't list the Duet but I may pop in as I pass them later. --

I've been considering a Duet for a while. If I can literally buy one on the High Street right now I will make the impulse buy. I tried the PC World website and they don't have them. Where else might I try? Poole, Bournemouth are closest to me. --
