i try to avoid that solution with squeezecenter since I've had a couple of bad experiences... but this time it seemed like the easiest solution so i did it and unsurprisingly everything works now. a little irritating though. -- eve

[slim] determine 3rd party remote IR codes?

I finally figured out what the common thread for my problem mp3s was. It's the sample rate. My squeezecenter seems only able to play mp3s with a 44.1 khz sample rate. Does anyone know why this might be? Some setting I have inadvertently set? Thanks! -- eve

can you explain how to do that? the only options for decoder that I have are native and disabled and the only stream format for mp3 is mp3 itself. I suppose I have to edit convert.conf, but I'm not sure what to add... -- eve
