is it a problem at the moment with SC7? I have lots of
files in that format and I have MAC only and so far the older version
of SlimServer works very good with all my music files and plugins.

Thanks for your reply. So I have to assume the problem is still there
with SC7 and iTunes and Apple Lossless files. Maybe I should stay
longer than I thought with SlimServe 6.5 until SC7 solves all the
issues in a newer version...

step of setting up the network and it found the IP address. So I really
have no idea what was going on and if it will work downstairs now that
I am going to take it to its original place of use...

Do you think it is ok to reinstall the older version of the router
firmware? The player gets only 90% of signal strength next to the
router and it used to get 68% 2 floors down!

Sorry for the newbie question: what are the steps to follow to install
SC? Does it uninstall Slimserver? I guess not since I am on Mac OS X.
And so, what happens to SB3 when I uninstall SC and how to do the rest?

I did notice that the computer name appears abbreviated. Will try
changing the computer name in the SS settings.

I changed my computer name in the Sharing folder of Preferences in the
computer and did the same in the Networking Preference in the SS. But
it still can't connect to Slimserver. What else can I do?
