[slim] Should I upgrade from 6.5.4?

fine for me, but should I be upgrading to 7.x? Am I missing any functionality? If I do upgrade, will it break any plugins? I'm running AlienBBC and have the Weather Time and Date screen saver installed (I think version 1.9.1). Thanks! -- franko180
