I called tech support, they had me do a factory reset (holding down '+'
on remote) which did not fix anything. Unfortunately, the unit is no

I think it is better to select all tracks of the album rather than just
the first track. I tried your method (cut and paste art on first track
only while using itunes) and, following rescan, the album art appeared
but squeezecenter now considers the first track to be a different album
