At some point when upgrading to 6.1.1, or maybe slightly before, significant modifications were made to my music subdirectory. These include:
1. Duplicate songs appearing under each album folder, such as: Soulive - Tuesday Night's Squad.mp3 Soulive - Tuesday Night's Squad 1.mp3 Soulive - Tuesday Night's Squad 2.mp3 File sizes and creation dates are identical. This did not occur to all albums - just certain ones. I have not confirmed this, but it might appear that the duplicates only occur if I have listed the particular some in one or more m3u playlists. Also - my itunes music subdirectory sits in the same /my music subdirectory, at the Artist List level. 2. New folders were created for each artist, presumably derived from albums that contained more than one artist; so now I have about 20% more subdirectories, and each of these songs now appear under the specific "Artist" and under the Album they originally came from (could be using more disk space unless these are symlinks). I checked the bug list for this but to no avail. I am using: SlimServer Version: 6.1.1 - 3774 - Windows 2000 - EN - cp1252 Player Firmware Version: 40 Any way to fix or back these changes out? I suspect #2 may be a new "feature"....ouch.
