I saw this behavior myself when working to configure a new SB2 in a WPA network. The device would claim that it was connected, but it would continuously select the default private IP (169...). I backed off all of my security constraints of my host network (WPA2,AES/TKP -> WPA,AES -> WPA,TKIP).

I too am having problems successfully configuring my sb2 to speak more secure forms of WPA, or WPA2 in any form. I've just updated the firmware on my sb2. It will work (is working) on the most basic configuration: 802.11g, WPA Personal, TKIP I'd be happy if I could at least reach WPA + AES.
