At the moment we are waiting to move house in about 2 weeks time so i think i will hold off on any experimenting until i have it all set up in the new house and see if the problem is apparent there. Thanks for your help. -- meryvn

e wireless router is in the same room as the squeezebox. I am now using v6.2.2 with no music detection problems on an Athlon64 3200+ with 2GB of RAM usually just running the Slimserver however the problem is not more apparent when i am doing something more intensive like playing FM2006 or backing up

he My Music folder within the d: drive, and i don't use any other programs other than iTunes. [slim] Doubling up on songs in Slimserver 6.1.1

iTunes or Musicmatch or on my iPod. I have tried uninstalling the slimserver and completley deleting the slimserver folder but it has made no difference. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what to try from here as it is really annoying when listening to shuffled albums.
