Hi Ralphy,
I had a silly pilot error when trying 184, it now works fine with
WASAPI as expected. I've updated my previous post in this thread.
Quick question: -S works for me, but under what conditions should I
use it?
Thanks,
George

y live with this (and am glad that WASAPI is working
for me), but it is a bit surprising!
I also tried the --shared mode, but it threw an error (when using -o1,
-o2, or -o3:
output_thread: PortAudio error1: Invalid device
I didn't get an error with or without -S with -o
on it, so that is really
nice.
The big advantage of Squeezeslave is that you can redirect it to a
specific audio device (a must have feature).

issues are deciding which binary to use, selecting an audio

Most of my files are cue/flacs and I do use a custom-conv file to do
on-the-fly HDCD/de-emphasis (if that matters).
Just curious if others have seen this.

or native ogg/real codecs.
Of course, if Slim device's squeezenetwork servers could do the
transcoding, that would be fine with me.
I just want to be able to play the content that is out there
with my PC turned off. I'll buy (and stick with) any product
that does this.
My mistake about the MAC address (too many devices
on my lan...). The number on the bottom is:

guess I'm one of the lucky ones after all :)

To followup, my SB2 MAC address (as reported by
my wireless router) is 20:04:B9:00:00:0C .
I assume this qualifies as not being affected by
the problem with the early units.

I haven't actually *heard* a difference between the coax/toslink,
