Cheers Michael. I'd bookmarked the site and wondered what had happened
:) I've no experience with vBulletin unfortunately.

Previously the forum index took me to the forum index.
Recently it seems to have been changed to activity.php? Why is this?
Sorry for the post here as there appears to be nowhere to discuss the

Possibly better to ask in the LMS sub-forum rather than general
discussion?

Rockboxed Sansa Clip+, Westone UM3x with custom molds. No need for
anything else. Expandable storage and the Clip has excellent sound
quality.

I think you'd need to tell SqueezeCenter to resample them, 22KHz is not
a standard sample rate, most players will support 32, 44.1 and 48 I
think.

Don't understand the problem. last.fm support is built in to
SqueezeCenter and works? Never used it on squeezenetwork, it's SC that
scrobbles on your local network as far as I'm aware.

Yep, iTunes does not use Replaygain, it has it's own soundcheck field
which is nothing to do with RG.
You need to scan and add RG tags using something else.

Am currently at -V3 with LAME and can't tell the difference with the

Apologies, I've figured out the problem. iPeng doesn't throw an error
when you provide an incorrect username/password, it simply sits there.
Figured the right one out and it works fine :)
But one to add to a list of things to do?
Will give it a proper go soon :)

x27;t crash.
I have a player switched on yet iPeng says that no players are
connected so I'm a little confused.
My firewall (Eset) allows UDP connections on 3483 so I'm it can't be
that.
Any thoughts?
Cheers.

Yep it's easier to change SqueezeCenter :)
Twonky is a bit odd and you can't actually specify all the ports you
need.

I can't actually make it connect with these settings, hitting any other

Thanks for the info. I've discovered that it is Twonky (see my other

fix this.
Twonky is a DLNA server as I believe SC is?

Hi all,
Anyone know how to get around this?
I can access SqueezeCentre on the server using 127.0.0.1:9000 but
externally, Twonky seems to have stolen the port number even when I've
changed it to respond on 9001?
Cheers?

If you want to tag stuff use FLAC or similar lossless formats which have
proper tagging, WAVs don't use tags, they have a header but that's it.

works. Tho because you remove the
tags you'll have to replaygain scan again using fb2k or something.

Try using mp3tag to remove the tag completely then rewrite it using the
same program? If it has album art it will allow you to extract it then
when you recreate it you can save it back :)

Bigger filesizes will always slow it down as there's more to download.
It honestly depends on what you're prepared to look at. I'm quite happy
with medium quality for album art as I don't spend all day looking at it
so it's just there as a reference :)
