I was going to suggest TagRename, but then you said you already use
that :)
I don't believe there is a way to use it in bulk.
Have a look at mp3tag (http://www.mp3tag.de/en/) i believe you can
write macros in it to do a lot of the hard work.

about a third way through ripping my album collection when the new flac
