2. Open a Command prompt and cd to the Bin\MSWin32-x86-multi-thread
directory and run the following command. You should hear your station
if your PC has a sound card.
Code:
mplayer http://eskawarszawa.stacja.fm:27828
mplayer is very suspicious of streams and seems to prefer to autodetect
the stream type from the content and not the headers. Most of the time
it does a very good job.
If you use this command you will see it is trying to decode the stream
as video and OGG amongst other things - Not sure why but
There are detailed step by step instructions on the wiki page - they
have been updated by users where they felt they needed clarification.
You can add your improvements afterwards.
In your case, I forgot the one of the files on the wiki pages was set

hi
I have 3 entries in File Types:

AACplus FLACmplayer/flac
AACplus MP3 mplayer/lame
AACplus WAV mplayer
All 3 checkboxes are unchecked. Which 2 do I check? I have tried to do
it but after I press Change
If all 3 are unchecked then slimserver cannot find or access mplayer.exe
so slimserver refuses to enable the check boxes.
Double check that there is an mplayer.exe in the
Bin\MSWin32-x86-multi-thread directory. Also make sure it works by
opening a cmd window to the directory and make sure it
