mplayer is very suspicious of streams and seems to prefer to autodetect the stream type from the content and not the headers. Most of the time it does a very good job. If you use this command you will see it is trying to decode the stream as video and OGG amongst other things - Not sure why but

If all 3 are unchecked then slimserver cannot find or access mplayer.exe so slimserver refuses to enable the check boxes. Double check that there is an mplayer.exe in the Bin\MSWin32-x86-multi-thread directory. Also make sure it works by opening a cmd window to the directory and make sure it

THANK YOU I have changed mplayerrc1.exe to mplayer.exe restarted server and it works!!! thank you again I can spend some mroe money on audio now :) Wife is happy. Maybe second squeezbox for upstairs.. It was frustraiting but is over Just have to figure it out now how to add some stations to

That's good. I think I may create a zip file of Windows specific files to simplify the install a bit. I forgot about the renaming mplayer - that was a new version of mplayer and I made the names different to tell version apart. -- bpa

Since you did not say what system you had the following *ONLY* applies to a Windows with Slimserver 6.5.x systems. Copy the 3 attached custom files from the wiki page into the server directory of slimserver - if using default installation then the directory C:\Program Files\SlimServer\server
