I'm glad to see that the scanning bug effecting some OS X users with
7.01 was resolved. However, I got a bit lost in the threads, and am not
sure which versions of SC can safely be tried. Was the fix made to all
versions of SC v7 and above, or just one particular version?

If you try to download the Mac version you get the 7.0.1 dmg ;-)
