I recall from the announcement of the Duet that the Controller was to be
available to be sold seperately.
Is it true? As of this morning there is no option in the online store
to buy the Controller by itself.
What gives? I already have two SB2s and do not really need to buy
another player.

They will be selling the set first, putting full production in to the
set. Once they have some stock, they will start selling the dices
serperatly.
