So I finally had everything just the way I wanted, and then like an idiot, I decided that it was time to change my router password, which caused me to reset the router blah blah blah...
I ran into some difficulty, and I had seen references in the forum to "emptying the cache". I did a cache cleanup, and for good measure, I threw in a preferences cleanup as well. Can somebody tell me exactly what a cache cleanup and a preferences cleanup do, and especially what a preferences cleanup removes, so I can figure out what I now have to reset? Also I'd like to know the circumstances that warrant one or both cleanups.
